MICROBE-LIFT/Protectant helps detoxify free (unchelated) heavy metal ions (e.g. copper) which are often present in municipal tap waters as well as in aquariums or pond that may have been previously treated with certain medications.

MICROBE-LIFT/Protectant, when used at its standard dosage, will not adversely affect the micronutrient concentrations of metal ions (e.g. calcium, iodine, strontium, iron and molybdenum) essential for some plant and invertebrate health.

MICROBE-LIFT/Protectant may be used to compliment bath treatments of medicinal dyes (e.g. malachite green and acriflavine) and antibacterials (e.g. nitrofurans and tetracyclines).

Directions

To aid fish, amphibians and aquatic invertebrates contend with adverse environmental conditions and to aid in the protection from external injuries in aquariums or ponds add one teaspoon (5 mL) for each 10 gallons (38 L) of water, or 1 fl.oz. per 60 gallons (227 L). MICROBE-LIFT/Protectant should be used, following appropriate water changes, at the successful conclusion of treatments for external diseases. Dosage may be increased up to 10 times without adverse effects. MICROBE-LIFT/Protectant does not interfere with fish gills or breathing, or with the use of water quality test kits.

Contraindications

Do not use with permanganate-based treatments, and use with formaldehyde (formalin) containing treatments must be carefully monitored. If water cloudiness occurs perform an immediate, large (at least 25%), water change.

MICROBE-LIFT/Protectant is not a medication nor drug and is not intended to be a substitute for any chemotherapeutic agent.
