Tisbe copepods are a benthic crustacean and are nutritious food benficial for corals, small planktivorous fish and fish larve and fry. Copepods scavenge on rocks and in refugiums in marine systems thus contribute to microbiological diversity. Copepod populations can be boosted and encouraged to multiply by regular additions of live Phytoplankton which can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 weeks.
