Hydor E-SK DC Protein Skimmer 1600 (950-1500L)

Hydor E-SK DC skimmers model 600, 1000, 1600 represent state of the art design and performance, all 3 models are designed for sump use. Featuring controllable DC needle wheel pumps, the Seltz DC Pumps power all the E-SK Skimmers. With a double layer bubble diffuser plate, a removable neck inside the skimmer cup and an integrated air intake silencer, these skimmers are made for performance.

The E-SK skimmers are equipped with the unique DC Hydor pump with electronic control that guarantees high performance in terms of water flow and air intake. A special needle impeller designed in the Hydor laboratories guarantees a perfect mixing of large quantities of water and air.

Innovations such as the extraction system of the upper container neck which helps to facilitate with cleaning operations. In the event of power failures and high sump water the electronic pump prevents the over-flow of the liquid from the upper skimmer container thanks to pump starting delay which is directly managed by the controller.
