Scientific Name:Danio tinwini
Family:Cyprinidae
Origin:Myanmar
The Burmese Goldring Danio comes from Myanmar, in just a few areas.Their bodies are a silverycolor with a multitude of bluish or black spots, and spottedfins. Males have a slightly different shape, with wider and large spots.
They live best in a calm, planted tank with plenty of hiding places and peaceful tankmates. The tank should also be decorated with driftwood and rocks to imitate their natural habitat, a calm well oxygenated river. They are a shoaling fish and should be kept in a group of at least six.
One thing to keep in mind is that these fish are jumpers, so a tight fitting lid is a necessity.
GoldringDanios are omnivores and not picky, and they can be fed a wide variety of live, frozen, pelleted and high quality flake foods. Daphnia and bloodworms are excellent choices to improve coloration.
