Due to its vibrant coloration and ease of care, Blastomussa is a popular choice for both beginners and experienced reef keepers.

Blastomussa thrives in low lighting and low to medium water flow, which helps to keep its polyps extended and healthy. Although it relies on photosynthesis through its symbiotic zooxanthellae, it will benefit from occasional feedings of small plankton or coral foods, which can enhance its growth and coloration, particularly in low-nutrient tanks.
