The Frogspawn Coral is a popular and visually striking species that adds movement and color to any reef tank. Its long, fleshy tentacles appear to “bounce” like a frogs legs, giving it a dynamic, lively presence. Frogspawn comes in both branching and wall varieties. The branching form features separate polyps with extended tentacles, while the wall form grows as a solid, encrusting base. Available in colors like green, pink, purple, and yellow, this coral is a stunning focal point in your aquarium.

Frogspawn thrives under moderate lighting and prefers medium water flow, which helps keep its tentacles extended and healthy. While it benefits from photosynthesis via its symbiotic zooxanthellae, regular feedings of small plankton or coral foods can enhance growth and coloration. Though relatively easy to care for, Frogspawn requires plenty of space to prevent its long, stinging tentacles from damaging neighboring corals.

As an aggressive species, its important to place Frogspawn where it wont sting nearby corals. With proper care and positioning, it will grow quickly and become a beautiful addition to your reef tank.
