Kent Marine Reef Carbon

KENT MARINE REEF CARBON contains essential Activated Carbon for use in marine and freshwater aquariums. Contains a fine coal-based carbon to remove organic pollutants, stain, and entrained toxic gases.

Directions

• Rinse well in cold running water.
• KENT Marine Reef Carbon is very active and only requires about lb (1 cup) per 100 gallons of aquarium water. More can be safely used depending on the amount of organics in the system.
• Place in a fine mesh bag or filter chamber directly in water flow. Make sure water flows through the material and not just around it.
• For best results, replace carbon monthly in freshwater aquariums and use intermittently in marine aquariums.

Note: Carbon naturally removes trace minerals from water. Even after it appears to be expired from adsorbing organics, it will continue to do so. For best results, use carbon filtration intermittently and regularly replenish trace minerals.
