Nelumbo Nucifera ‘Yiliang Thousand Petals’ Lotus (Bare Root)

The ‘Yiliang Thousand Petals‘ is a magnificent multi-petal lotus, that produces huge and long lasting flowers, with a very high petal count (800 or more petals per flower)! It is known to yield double-hearted flowers, that are a strong pink to rose red color. The flowers are quite fragrant and tend to last much longer than other lotus flowers, due to the density of the petals. They take several days to fully open, and this means that the outer petals often drop, as inner petals continue to open. There is no receptacle, thus it does not produce seeds. It produces large tubers, which are edible, and can grow upwards of 4 feet tall.
